Chalet Villa Valania was born on the ruins of a former military barracks of the First World War, dedicated to the heroic Captain Valania, from which it takes its name.
Located at the entrance of Val Cancano, near the towers of Fraele and adjacent to the alpine lake Stairs to 2,000 meters above sea level, the Chalet Villa Valania is suitable for a holiday away from the noise and surrounded by the Stelvio National Park.
The 9 rooms, each with a name of mountain or alpine flowers, are furnished in mountain style for a comfortable stay.
All have private bathrooms, satellite TV and intercom.
The restaurant, even outdoors if weather conditions permit, serves specialties from the Valtellina as well as candlelit dinners for romantic evenings.
Val Cancano is the longest plateau in the Alps at 2000m. Over 40 km entirely flat are waiting to be pedaled, but also among the most beautiful trails of the Stelvio National Park.
Skirt the artificial dams Cancano, explore the "little canyon" Valley of Gallo to nearby Switzerland is truly affordable for all bikers with ease and confidence.
The Chalet is home to a point of rental mountain bikes and tandem generation. For our guests the use is free.
